
This workshop covers understanding the responsibilities required to meet Health & Safety and Welfare legislation, regulations, and recommended codes of practice for the workplace.
Topics covered include:
- Understanding Hazards and Risks in the workplace and how they are identified and controlled
- Understanding the need for, and types of, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Understanding emergency procedures in the workplace, including Fire Safety
- Understanding Accident Procedures and Reporting (including RIDDOR)
- Workplace Legislation
Successful completion of this unit and associated activities results in EAL certification, and the award of 3 credits towards the EAL Level 2 Certificate in Applying Business Improvement Techniques.
